Fall Custom Orders

Some custom orders go out ask gifts to friends and those are items custom made by me and are designed specifically for family and friends! Like this little pencil pouch that I made for my niece, Avery! If you give neon gel pins as a gift, send them a cute pencil pouch too!

Some other fun custom orders have been bow ties for weddings! Cute and fun! We can customize these to all your wedding colors! Let you little man pick out the print if you want! They always come out adorable!

Barn Sale

Well the time has come for the fall Barn Sale. The barn sale is about an hour and a half away from my house but well worth the drive! I will be selling my handmade items and vintage finds. There will be many other vendors selling handmade items, vintage items, and repurposed items!

There is a meal of yummy food prepared by the farmer and his wonderful wife. They have BBQ and the fixings, along with around 1,000 homemade, amazing cupcakes. And did I mention that the sale takes place on a working dairy farm!? It sure does! They have raw milk for purchase and have calves out on the front lawn for your young children to check out!

Shop Update and a Coupon Code

So the Etsy shop is about the last place that I add items and it was sure in need of some new items! All items that I have for craft fair inventory have now been listed!

This took me about a day to get everything added but everything is there now. If you have questions about any items let me know! I will answer them to the best of my ability!

Favorites!

Have you ever gone and looked back at your pictures?! I do this occasionally with my sewing pictures! It is always fun to see how I have progressed as a sewer and to see some fabrics that have gone out of print since then!

Well it seems as if I have skipped summer on the blog! So bring on fall!

Even though I have been away from the blog, I have still been sewing! Always busy, busy.

Here are a few projects from the past weeks.

I have also set up a booth at Reflections Hair Salon in LaCrosse Ks. The bottom picture is of the booth! So go there and check out the cuteness!

Craft Fair and Custom Sewing

So on top of getting a part-time job, I am working on sewing projects for 2 events on back to back weekends. The only thing is that they are completely different types of events. One is a motorcycle club gathering (Rolling Thunder in Washington DC) and the other is a vintage/craft market! This makes for a lot of sewing!



These bandanas are for the motorcycle club gathering. This is the first 10 and I have 20 more bandanas that need to get embriodered too!





I added two KC Chiefs purses to my shop recently! They will be at the craft fair! I am also working on a few KC ROYALS items, Kansas Jayhawks,and K-State Wildcat items.



Here is the most recent envelope clutch! I will be listing it in the shop this morning!



This is my most recent custom order! It spawned several other orders too! I am not typically a huge skull fan but the colors used in this fabric are to die for!

Busy Busy Busy!

That is how it has been going lately around here! I have decided to participate in a Craft and Antique fair that takes place on June 1st! It is called JUNE JUANT and will take place in Ellinwood, Ks. So I have been working hard to stock up my inventory!

This is my most recent finish from this afternoon! It is a 6" embriodery hoop wall hanging! It would be perfect in any little boys room! The embriodery is done by machine and the ric-rac adds the perfect contrast!



I also added 6 more mini mason jar pincushions to the inventory today! These are made with 4oz mason jars. I think they look just like cupcakes! That brings me to 12 total and I have 12 wide mouth 1/2 pint jars waiting to be turned in to pin cushions!



Last weekend I managed to get a little owl tote completed too! Great for any little girl or tween! Just the right size for all their trinkets or a trip to go shopping.



I also finished a Jeff Gordon purse! I love how it turned out, but I am not a Jeff Gordon fan!



I also made a really cute reversible market tote! Pattern by Michelle Patterns. Very easy to make and will hold a lot of purchases!



On top of all that sewing I enrolled for summer college courses on Tuesday! I start June 3rd! Wish me luck I have a job interview this afternoon! I hope everything goes smooth!

ACU Popover Dress

This little popover dress is made from ACU material! Extremely durable and looks cute with just about any color you mix with it!



This dress is going to be worn to a summer BBQ. I hope everyone will love it!

Custom Pink Skulls Diaper Bag

This diaper bag was made a few weeks ago and was a gift for a baby shower! The momma picked out the fabric and choose the style of bag she wanted but then I took it from there!



She offically loves it!



There is also a matching changing pad that fits perfectly into the back pocket!

Not your average dish towels

Well with my husband gone for the week, I have been doing quite abit of sewing, and decided to make a house warming gift for a friend.

These are just basic white cotton dish towels. I dug through my scrap baskets looking for creams, butters, and browns. What did I come up with? A whole lot of nothing. So I hope these will work. They do have those colors mixed in, but are primarily other colors.



One is Meadowsweet fabrics by Sandi Henderson, the second one has fabrics by Cosmo Cricket, and the third has fabric from vintage pillowcases!

I may start adding these to my shop! Let me know what you think!

John Deere Custom Orders

I have been extremely busy sewing up diaper bags! One is a suprise baby shower gift, so I will have to save the pictures till next week. I sewed up two coordinating diaper bags this week also.

The customer supplied her fabric. Denim and John Deere. These came out extremely cute, however I was worried about my little ol' sewing machine during the process.



I like to make my diaper bags extremely sturdy. So there are a few layers of stablizers added in, but when you add in the denim it makes for a tricky combination.



The first bag is a messenger style diaper bag, with ribbon accents. This bag has a total of 7 pockets. Three on the outside and four on the inside. This will hopefully help the parents stay nice and organized.



The second is a basic diaper bag. It closes with a ribbon tie and has 6 pockets. Two pockets on the outside and four on the inside. You can never have to many pockets.



Diaper bags need to be made to last, so I recommend adding fusible fleece and decor-bond fusible interfacing if you are sewing your own. I also recommend starting with a new needle and making it a denim needle. This will make sewing through the extra layers a bit easier and alot less stressful.

Chevron and Dots Envelope Clutch

Here is the newest envelope clutch. I am really loving this pattern. It is very easy to whip up and has so many different options!

This one was made from fabric left over from a recent custom order! I am finally understanding the demand of chevron fabric!







I am working on a few more variations and then will hopefully start working on typing the pattern!

A few more custom orders!

Here are a few more custom orders I have been working on lately. I am always happy to see how they turn out! These fabrics were from my stash and I had creative control! Sometimes this makes it easier, and sometimes it stresses me out. It is always nice to have a jumping off point, like colors or patterns a person likes.
